Baseball in BellevilleAthletic FieldBelleville Athletic Field hosted the Belleville Stags of the Illinois State League and the Mississippi-Ohio Valley League (both MWL predecessors) from 1947 through 1949. The ballpark was sold to Cathedral High School during the 1949 season; this may be its remnant. No construction information seems to be available. I'm looking for a suitable photograph of Athletic Field--preferably one which is not already available on another website. Drop me a line if you can help. Source of Name: Appears to be descriptive. |
