Baseball in CantonPlayer RosterPlayers who played for the 1952 team in Canton, Illinois, during Canton's (short) tenure as a Mississippi-Ohio Valley League city (the MOV is a Midwest League predecessor). This list includes all players and coaching staff members I can identify. There are almost certainly players missing from this list, as the available sources are known to be incomplete. As this is a combined Canton/Vincennes roster for 1952; it's quite likely that not everyone listed actually played for Canton. 23 different players are listed on this page (none of whom played in the majors). Two managers (both of whom were active players) and two staff members are listed.
My intention is to include everyone who represented Canton on an MOV diamond. While the information here is intended to be both complete and accurate, it's likely that there are omissions and the scale of the project guarantees errors; there's a lot of data here, from a variety of sources, all of which was originally in another format. |
