Baseball in Keokuk

Joyce Park

Joyce Park hosted Keokuk's Midwest League teams from 1958 through 1962, as it had hosted teams in other leagues before those years. This stadium was apparently constructed in the late 1920s, evidently by a private party; until 1933 it was known as the Keokuk Baseball Field. This is not Keokuk's current Joyce Park, which is a recent construction at a different location.

I'm looking for a suitable photograph of Joyce Park--preferably one which is not already available on another website. Drop me a line if you can help.

Source of Name: Named for Thomas H. Joyce, Sr., who purchased the ballpark and donated it to the city in 1934.
