Playing Career

Drafted/Signed: Red Sox, first round (January, second phase; first selection), 1980 (Shortstop, Miami-Dade North CC)
- First round selection (fifth overall) by Oakland in June, 1979; did not sign.
- Professional Career: Ten minor league seasons, mainly in the higher classifications, mostly in the Red Sox organization.
- Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.
Management style
Bustabad's a pretty conservative manager. The sole exception was his Kane County year; if you should find Quincy Foster in your lineup, you should likely play to that strength, which he did. Year in, year out, Bustabad's teams have been pretty successful.
