- Drafted/Signed: Red Sox, seventh round, 1992 (Pitcher/Outfielder, Riverview HS, Sarasota, Florida).

Professional Career: Fourteen professional seasons in a half-dozen organizations; about half of them at the Triple-A level. Had two at bats for the Mets in 2003.

- Midwest League: Played for the Michigan Battle Cats in 1995.
Management style
In his first season, DePastino was fairly aggressive on the basepaths, and more likely than most MWL managers to let his pitcher finish the game.
