Mark Haley

Midwest League Managers

Mark Haley

Six Midwest League seasons; 2008 will be his seventh:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Pirates, 26th round, 1977 (C, Cabrillo HS [Lompoc, California]). Did not sign.
  • Professional Career: Never played professionally; did play for the Nebraska Cornhuskers' national championship team in 1980. Long career as a coach in the White Sox system.
  • Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

Management style

Haley's teams have been terrible on the basepaths. Except for that, and a slight tendency to bunt, he's a fairly conventional manager.

Haley's a resident of the South Bend area.
