Playing Career

Signed: Chicago Cubs, free agent, 1977.
Professional Career: Seven professional seasons, mostly in the Cubs organization; he was usually assigned to Midland in the Texas League. Appeared in 49 major league games with the Cubbies.

Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

Management style

By any measure, Lezcano's tactical decisions are extremely conservative; his teams don't issue intentional walks, aren't particularly aggressive on the basepaths, and rarely bunt. He does make some allowance for individual talents, and his early teams were fairly aggressive base thieves.
