Playing Career
Management styleExcept for the complete game thing, Miner was a pretty conventional manager. For his time, and for the leagues he worked in, he liked his pitchers to throw complete games; indeed, he was the last MWL manager who expected his pitchers to throw complete games. Miner's 1986 team was effectively a cooperative team, as the Royals provided 10 players to that squad. |

The Midwest League plays Single-A, professional baseball in America's agricultural and industrial heartland. 14 teams play a 140 game schedule which begins in early April and ends Labor Day weekend.
