Professional Career: 14 professional seasons, including all or part of six seasons in the American League with Minnesota, Detroit, Kansas City, and Oakland.
- Nettles' major league career.
Midwest League: Had a brief playing appearance at Madison while managing there in 1986.

Management style

Nettles mostly just sent the players out and let them play. For his time, his complete games count was normal. Steals, sacrifice hits, and intentional walks were really rare events in his games.
