Drafted/Signed: Cardinals, free agent, 1959.
Professional Career: Thirteen minor league seasons, in the Cardinals, Cubs, and Reds organizations; usually at the Triple-A level.
Midwest League: Played for Keokuk in 1960.

Management style

Jim Saul started out as a fairly conventional minor league manager, but turned extremely conservative as he aged.
