WP: Don Liddle (Mount Vernon/Braves) NotesAll of the standard references list the Mount Vernon team as the Blues and the Mattoon team as the Indians. Both are wrong; the Mount Vernon team's scorecard listed the team as the Braves, and the Mattoon Journal-Gazette consistently referred to the team as the White Sox. The affiliations shown were those listed in the 1947 Centralia scorecard. |
