Source Notes

I read box scores daily, and fairly carefully. MWL boxes are available several places on the web; I use the Baseball America site for my source.

Baseball America and Minor League Baseball both post Howe Sportsdata's daily minor league highlights page on their websites.

I scan lots of local online newspapers. If something interesting happens, the story often begins with it.

And surprising things show up, unsolicited, in my E-mail. Thanks to all of you who do so.

The Midwest League plays Single-A, professional baseball in America's agricultural and industrial heartland. 16 teams play a 140 game schedule which begins in early April and ends Labor Day weekend.

Disclaimers:
This website is a private project and has no official relation with or sanction from the Midwest League or Minor League Baseball.
The opinions expressed on this page are mine, and are worth about that.
